You must compliment your wine with a selection of food from our excellent Tapas selection menu, food and wine are, after all, meant to be enjoyed together.

The Stable Door House Champagne - Michel Guilleminot Brut NV
From a small, family grower, this has considerable lees-aging to give the rich, biscuity character that makes champagne so special.
£ 4.85£ 15.50£ 29.00
The Stable Door House Rose Champagne - Ellner Brut Rose
The house of Charles Ellner make this super rose for us…and yes, real men DO drink rose champagne!
£ 5.50 £ 33.00
Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV
One of the few great names in champagne still in family ownership, Roederer is the epitome of a Pinot Noir dominated style, with structure and depth that make it more than a match for even quite rich food. Here at The Stable Door this is our favourite Grande Marque.
£ 8.35 £ 50.00
Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 1997
Continuing on the theme of Roederer...1997 is notable as a vintage for it's forward style. This is drinking superbly now at 8 years old, and showing some of the depth and complexity of mature vintage champagne.
  £ 85.00
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose
The wine trade's favourite rose champagne, we are reliably informed. We hope it will be yours too! Billecart is another of the smaller, family-owned houses.
  £ 60.00
Xamfra Brut Gran Reserva-Spain
This Cava Reserva has been resting in deep and dark cellars for a period of 48 months minimum. Thanks to this long resting period this Cava has a fine bubble, persistent and long-lasting. Exquisite to the palate, elegant and complex, with notes of dry toasted nuts and green apples. A Cava for special events and celebrations, worthy of admiration.

Marsanne
This northern Rhone variety delivers a clean, refreshing, opulent style, ideal as a partner to fish but equally successful as an aperitif
£ 2.95£ 3.90£ 11.70
Roussanne, Les Domaines Virginie , Vin de Pays d
A great favourite of ours, Rousanne is traditionally a variety from the Rhone,
yet here in the Languedoc its flowery character combines with a fresh, dry finish
£ 3.50£ 4.70£ 14.00
Rio Claro Chardonnay, Maipo Valley, Chile
Aromas of peach and apricot lead on to clean, unoaked palate of tropical fruits
and melon
£ 3.40£ 4.50£ 13.50
Rioja Vega Blanco-Spain
Made from Viura grapes. Pale yellow with green hues, clean and bright...
To the nose it brings fruity, intense varietal aromas. Balanced, fresh and
lively in the mouth, with tangy notes blending perfectly into the whole.
£ 3.70£ 4.95£ 14.80
Avio Pinot Grigio, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy
From the east of Lake Garda, this Pinot Grigio has had only gentle filtration (unlike
the mass produced versions of this wine) to retain the full, soft fruit character that
makes good Pinot Grigio such a delight
£ 4.25£ 5.70£ 17.00
Moa Ridge Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough Valley, New Zealand
Rampant gooseberry and currant flavours on the palate with a herbaceous,
grassy nose make this a classic Marlborough Sauvignon
£ 4.65£ 6.20£ 18.50
Chablis Domaine Jean-Pierre Grossot, Burgundy, France
A favourite of Chris' and for good reason! Elegant, lean chardonnay, again very
expressive of the terroir of the Chablis region with fresh mineral notes
£ 5.65£ 7.50£ 22.50
Chassagne-Montrachet Les Houilleres, Olivier Leflaive, Burgundy, France
Olivier Leflaive and his winemaker Frank Grux give master classes
white burgundy with each of their wines…This is a great expression of Chassagne,
with a streak of fresh lime and tropical fruit given depth by a great structure
  £ 47.95
Red WinesGlassGlassBottle

Montagne Noire Merlot 2002, Vin de Pays d
Great structure with soft, dusty tannins make this a super match for food. At the
same time there's plenty of fresh cherry and plum fruits to make it a very enjoyable glass
of wine on it's own.
£ 2.95£ 4.83£ 11.70
Los Vilos Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley, Chile
From the Maipo Valley, famous for the pure climate and grape growing environment which
requires very little to be done to the grapes to make super wines. This has supple
blackcurrant fruits and just enough tannin and acidity to match well with food
£ 3.25£ 4.35£ 13.00
Tin Hat Cabernet Shiraz, South East Australia
The ubiquitous Aussie Shiraz - understandably loved for its rich fruit, spice and pepper
£ 3.50£ 4.70£ 14.00
Montepulciano d Abruzzo Roxan, Abruzzi, Italy
Generous plum and raspberry fruit character balanced by a little spice and some
gentle tannins, from the Adriatic coast of Central Italy
£ 3.75£ 4.70£ 15.00
Marques de Caceres Rioja Crianza, Spain
The riojanos tradition of using oak aging in their wines is in evidence here with slight notes of
vanilla adding complexity to the rich black fruits and a hint of leather on the nose
£ 4.75£ 6.30£ 18.95
Fleurie Clos de la Roilette, Beaujolais, France
The cheerful looking horse looking out from the label seems quite at home at The Stable Door!
But we chose this for the lovely violet and floral aromas for which Fleurie is so famous.
With very soft tannins this works well slightly chilled - do ask at the bar.
  £ 22.95
Chateauneuf-du-Pape Domaine de Remperts Rhone, France
Another wine from the blazing 2003 vintage, but unlike the Côtes du Rhonè this is made to
exhibit structure and complexity, with spice, pepper and leather on the nose as well as intense
black fruits
  £ 28.95
Rioja Vina Salceda Crianza
A blend of Tempranillo and Gamacha aged in French and American oak barrels for a minimum of two years giving a voluptuous palate with masses of vanilla and blackcurrant.
  £ 17.95
El Pleno Tempranillo
This is a cheerful little Rioja-style wine from the neighbouring DO of Navarra-almost better than it should be.
  £ 14.95

This blend of Tempranillo and Gamacha gives an elegant style with refreshing strawberry and redcurrant flowers.
£ 3.60£ 4.80£ 14.50
Malbec Rose, Alta Vista, Mendoza, Argentina
A full-flavoured rose which also has some tannin and structure -
a good match with food or as an alternative to a red on warmer days.

Rousseau Sipian Bordeaux
Fruity and Refreshing Joan's favourite. Just what a good Rose should be!
